2nd Annual 5K Road Race & Walk

Race Overview: The Run For Your Life is a Halloween 5K (3.1 mile) road race on the WSU campus. Community members are welcome along with students, faculty, spouses, children or partners. Both runners and walkers are encouraged to participate; proceeds will benefit the WSU Lightweight Women's Crew Team.


Eligibility:This event is open to anyone who is 6 years of age or older on the day of the race.

Divisions: 17 & under, 18-20, 21-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55+ [Male or Female]

Registration period:September 1 - October 17 (early). Late registration October 17 - 25 (add $6 to entry fee).

Registration fee: Adult $15 SRC Member/$20 Non Member, Youth 6-11 years old $5 (no t-shirt), Youth 12-17 years old $15. Late registration after October 25 add $6. Includes a long sleeved t-shirt for adult and youth 12-17 registrations. Register early to receive your preferred t-shirt size.

Race start time: 9:00 AM

Location:the race will start and finish in the tennis court parking lot across from the WSU Student Recreation Center (view course map).

Check in:participants can check in and pick up race numbers from 8:00 - 8:45AM on race day in the WSU Student Recreation Center.

Event guidelines:

  • For the safety of all participants NO DOGS or other animals are allowed except for service animals.
  • Roller skates, roller blades, bicycles, skateboards, and scooters are not allowed.
  • Headphones pose a serious hazard because they limit your ability to hear other participants, vehicles, or safety warnings. Please do not wear headphones.
  • Youth 6-11 must beunder direct supervision of parent/guardian during the event.
